      Great looking but...

wanted to love these but they run short you definitely need to go up a half a size even though I got these in a wide which I don’t normally tell was still right up to the toebox and then there’s the tongue. as another poster stated what’s up with that? it’s like a piece of cardboard pressing into the front of your ankle really bad design poorly thought out that’s really why got it two stars

      • Additional Cons
      • Tongue will change due to stiffness
      • No,
      • I do not recommend this product.

The first time I have had to do this.

Our local store does not carry Ryka and more, so I make all my purchases on line (and hope for the best). I have been a fan of Ryka for at least the last decade, they always fit and feel great for aerobics classes. This shoe was really weird. The Tongue was very stiff near the ankle (were the Logo is), it was also very thin, not as much cushion as others. The Footbed was cushy thou. Maybe I have a fat ankle- lol. Any way as soon as I opened the box I had a feeling this tongue design was not going to work. I tested them around the house first. Still thinking maybe I could get it to soften by wearing to class. Well sad to say, that did not work, I could not stand the way the tongue pretty much chopped into the front of my ankle.
Good news thou, easy return to the local store. I found another pair (from Ryka on line) and all is well.

      Very comfortable

I bought these specifically for bootcamp classes because it is so difficult to find a good training shoe, and running shoes just don't do the job.. they have been great. They are very light and comfortable. I ordered 1 size larger than I wear in street shoes (as I would with running shoes) and they fit perfectly.

      Great deck shoe

I use these for instructing on the pool deck. They are more supportive than the water shoe for deck instruction. They do not slip easily. Lightweight and allow freedom of movement. Not quite as much cushioning in the forefoot as I had hoped but a good shoe overall.

      • Pros:
      • Good traction,
      • Lightweight,
      • Shock absorbing
      • Cons:
      • needs a bit more forefoot cushioning
