It's extremely difficult to get my foot into this sneaker. Once I got my foot in, it felt ok, but was a little tight. I don't have wide feet so I definitely feel like the discomfort was due to the design. I'd prefer a sneaker with a tongue.

Save yourself the frustration
I have never given Nike a bad review on shoes. These are horrible. The hole is so tiny Barbie couldn’t fit her foot inside. And the laces are odd so you can’t take them out to stretch the shoe for some room to slide in. These are the WORST shoes I have ever purchased

ran a tad bit big, should have done 8.5 rather than 9. A good looking shoe with nice comfort on the arch and good support.
