Great shoe
This is my third pair, two of them black so that one I wear with trouser socks and the other nothing. Looks like a typical flat but sole is closer to an athletic walking shoe. The reason I love them (aside from the comfort) is that the shoe doesn't alarm the airport metal detectors. This is the shoe I travel in.

Very comfortable
I have been look for some brown leather fIats and these fit the bill. I bought them for my daughter but I did try them on before giving them to her. They are very, very comfortable. They have a soft lining, pad and heel base. The soles are thick enough so they will last if you have to do walking around campus etc. unlike other thinner sole flats. I bought these in Navy blue as well and feel this is was a great purchase.
