      Super "Rock Hoppers"

I bought these for a trip to Iceland, known for its rocks and difficult hiking trails. I've worn these for a month here during all kinds of conditions and I LOVE these boots. I call them my rock hoppers because they work so well on the rocks and wet trails here.

If you wear a wide, buy something else

As others have stated, the "wide" is not wide enough if you actually wear wide shoes. I could tell before I even tried to cram my foot into it that it wasn't wide enough. To top it off, in the bottom of the shipping box (which was oddly sealed with Columbia paper box tape over plastic box tape that had not been cut) I found the packing list from the previous wide-footed purchaser of this pair of boots. It had his email address on it, so I emailed him and we've had a good laugh about the whole deal. I should have spent some time reading the reviews before I bough and I would have known these would not be wide enough. Double shame on Columbia for sending me an already at least once returned product.

      Tread wear

I bought these boots approximately two months ago and am thrilled with them. They are so comfortable, but I took them over and was amazed at the tread loss. I am a long time Columbia fan, but this is a little disappointing to me. I do wear them 5 days a week for work, but even still I don’t think they should have this much tread loss. At this rate I will need to purchase another pair in 5 or 6 weeks. I just wanted to give a review of someone who wears them to work in. Be prepared that they only last three months or so.

Great waterproofing, tread goes rather quickly

I bought these just over a year ago now and have loved them. Used them for my part time job, hiking and hunting. They were fantastic. The treads seemed to burn down rather quickly though. Everything else about them was great.

      wide boot

Order it online. The label says wide but I think it is a standard width. I have bugaboos wide and the toe is round. May be the style. I called and they can not help but am going to a store to compare the standard. I am not paying to mail these back. It is definitely a narrow toe compared to a Merrill wide. Maybe it will stretch out.

      Great Buy!

Only ever bought Keen or Merrell, but can’t get a 15 wide from Merrell. Most people know the Targhee II is a fine boot, but thought I’d try these after seeing the good reviews at a very reasonable price in a 15 wide. I was very pleasantly surprised with these boots. Had open heart surgery last May, so regular exercise from almost-daily two-mile walks are a must, even in NE Ohio with snow on the Towpath trail that I walk. It gets tricky once the snow is packed down or rutted from other trail users. That’s where the soft rubber lugs on these boots assure sure footing. They’re also light and comfortable, great footwear for the trail when the weather won’t allow for your 11 oz running shoes.

Not very wide for a wide shoe

I have fairly flat feet and it's always a struggle to shoe shop. So when I saw Columbia had wide sizes for hiking boots I got excited. Well they aren't wide. They are like a hair wider than normal hiking boots. Wides in other brands fit properly but not these. I'm not even sure I want to return them as it seems it could take weeks to process it due to the pandemic. Very dissatisfied.
