      A great winter boot

Former Marine infantryman who was in need of a good, waterproof winter boot. I found these boots fit the bill perfectly. They fit very well with good socks. They hug my feet so good that I now have to re-evaluate my other boots. They like to be walked around in (Idle feet = cold feet).

      Great replacement for older Bugaboots.

These boots are a great replacement for my much loved Bugaboot's I bought in 2014. Bought a size 9 as my last pair was the perfect fit with big, comfy alpaca wool socks. This pair of boots is just a little snug with those socks, but seem to stretch out a little more every time I wear that sock/ boot combo.

Overall, these are a much better pair of boots compared to my last Bugaboot's as they are a few inches taller and have a wider sole.

      Poor Quality

I bought these boots 2 years ago and only wear them to shovel snow 2-3 times a winter and minimal use around the yard in November and December. The last snowstorm of shoveling a few inches of snow I noticed that the top of my feet felt wet. On inspecting the boot I noticed the the rubber part of the boot that meets with the seem is cracking! I don't know how Columbia can put their name on this boot. I will be going back to Sorel's.

      Great Until It Ripped Apart

“I have owned these boots for 1.5 winters, I have worn them about 20 times total to shovel my sidewalk. So very light use as I wear my shoes all year round with the exception shoveling snow. If you see the three ridges on the back of the boot, the fabric on the top ridge completely ripped apart from one side to the next. For the very few times I have used this boot, and you can see how new they look, this is incredibly poor. I have had other boots that have lasted for over a decade without issue, this has been incredibly disappointing seeing as I liked the boot.”

      Nice Boots

Got them a week ago, now they are slightly tight but they still need breaking in, not very agile or lightweight, but who runs in snow anyway? They are indeed waterproof and my sock was dry after 2 hours of shoveling in 7 inches of snow, no slippage on ice unless you purposely take the weight off of your foot, good traction, and look amazing, 100% worth the price.
