Comfortable and stylish!

Something about them just feels awkward
Sorry, hard to explain. I just got these in the mail (still waiting on my other style to arrive). I literally tried them on, and IMMEDIADENT they felt like an ‘odd’ fit. :( Not sure what it is. I have a wide foot, regular calf...the ankle material/lower leg of the boot feels sort of baggy- in an awkward way...but the ACTUAL HEEL cup area is snug and feels uncomfortable.
I am shocked (& really bummed) after walking around the house in the for 10min max, the bottoms of my feet are hurting. I chose the Stride Rights because they seemed to have the best cushion in store, and the overall limited selection of wide foot/medium calf.
I do the scratch test on the boots in store...MOST, EASILY scuff & leave permanent marks; this fabric does NOT! This fabric (Stride Right boots) feels/looks most like leather, has a nice feel & nice colors. That being said, I wouldn’t consider the finish ‘durable’ or anything like that. The fit may work for some, but sadly not for me. *I am average “late 30’s” lol/medium build- I have average slender-ish calves & ankles/feet. The calves looked large to me outta the box, but fit fine w/just enough room enough to tuck pants in, or wear them over.
I hope the other pair I ordered is a win
