Randy asked: Can I wear these for running short distances (2-5 miles) and playing Racquetball??

  • gerald: "Yes you could ... but eventually as thin as the shoe is .... your time playing raquetball might be a littlel over the top for that sport. Those shoes Seem to be a type of shoe that beach combing people ( surfers, lifeguards, etc ) would wear. I bought them out of a novelty idea.... though I do enjoy comfortably fitting shoes. I'm sorry if that does not answer your question."
  • G: "I'm no expert on shoes, but these do not have an arch support and are more like a house shoe that can be worn as a street shoe. They kind of look like a "ninja" shoe. They do have a hard, flexible rubber sole and look pretty cool with blue jeans, but you most likely would want to wear a shoe specifically designed for athletic wear for racquetball and running. The Body Glove shoe is very comfortable, and we're happy that we purchased them, but they do give your feet some freedom of movement that is not good for athletics. I hope this has been helpful."
  • Deborah: "They don't have any arch support and they don't come up very high on your foot., I wouldn't recommend them for either."
  • charles: "I am sorry but they sent the wrong size and I never wore them, but what you are looking for is a conventional shoe and this isn't it, this is designed to use in the water say a river or a pool but as far as distance running ,if you to try that with these your feet would be dead within a 1/2 mile"
  • Paul: "I wouldn't chance it as there is no ankle support. These really are only for going into the water."
  • Tammy: "I wouldn't recommend. Strictly water shoes int opinion. "
  • Camela A: "You could but they are not very supportive."

donna asked: my husband has a wide arch, was wondering how these would fit him ?

  • Ellen: "They do stretch nicely to a certain extent. I would give it a try."
  • Joseph: "There isn't any real arch support in these water shoes. I found them to be wide and comfortable."
  • karine: "never heard of a wide arch? heard of a low or high arch is that what you meant?"
  • Brian: "These shoes are pretty loose fitting with no support. they stay on by the drawstring just at your ankle. I used these shoes on a float trip recently and really liked them for this purpose. but I will add if you step on sharp rocks with these you will feel it they did not pierce the sole of the shoe though. Hope this helps"
  • Candace: "My husband also has a wide arch and these fit him well. He wore them for a week strait a lake Powell. Hope this helps."
  • Paul: "I can't speak about the arch of the shoe, but I have a wide foot (4E) and it fits very well."
  • Mary: "Thought they fit great! Worth a try for the price! Seemed generously cut to me."
  • Denise: "Hi Donna, Although they do stretch while on your feet I would be alittle concerned about a wide arch unless this product is available in wide width. I hope this helped but I would be skeptical."
  • Donna: "They literally fit to your feet like a glove. I'd say try them. My dad loved them so much he bought two pairs. My mom even bought them too. They're really awesome. "
