Skechers has been the only shoe that I can put on my son's feet. They are pretty true to fit. My son has disabliities, and the velcro straps really help with making my life easy since these are kids shoes with straps instead of looking like "special" shoes. Famous Footwear is one of the only stores that carry Skechers in half sizes as well.

This is our second pair of skechers hot lights. First pair at 5 yrs old and the second at 6 yrs old. We switched hot lights models because this one has a longer velcro strap portion which helped us because my son has a narrow foot. The first pair we owned had about a one inch portion of velcro you had to match up. This model has a couple inches of velcro so you can always get the strap nice and tight especially as the strap stretches out due to wear. Plus this strap is placed higher and around the top of the shoe which keeps the ankle from sliding out.

Some Skechers have gotten lighter in weight but this one is still a heavier style. It's still a great shoe and my son loves the design!
