Good support-should be for how much it costs. The only thing i don't like is the tongue is too short. For those who have arthritic hands, that presents a problem.

I love my New Balance Women's 990 sneakers. This is my 3rd pair. Hope they don't take them out of circulation, replacing them with something that I won't like

Rated 4 out of 5 by ca08 I really like the looks of this shoe. It is on a list from my foot doctor; I have plantar fasciitis on one foot and wear molded insoles. The non affected foot fits fine. The foot with this problem in this shoe is uncomfortable at the right side ball of the foot. I feel like the shoe is narrower at this point, and the stitching is rubbing against my foot. I like shoes with rounded, wider toes for movement and harder heel support as indicated. I have another pair of New Balance 990 shoes, and it is the same problem with those; making me wonder. Break-in time was fine. I just wear them minimum time until too painful. I would recommend them to someone without foot problems. Before this diagnosis, I would purchase New Balance most of the time. Now I have to be more selective.
