This was my first experience with ryka shoes. I purchased them for my Zumba class, as they are advertised for this. The low level grip seems to be why these are recommended for exercise dance classes. My feet felt stuffed into these shoes, they were very tight around the arch, and I have a high arch. The balls of my feet felt smushed, and I don't wear a wide width. I had ordered 1/2 size up because I was told that these shoes tend to run small. The deal breaker for these shoes was my heels were slipping very slightly in the shoe. I didn't want blisters after zumba, so these had to go back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CombatGirl Great for Zumba!
I purchased these because I was looking for a studio dance shoe with a pivot point on the bottom (not just a regular cross-trainer.) These shoes work well so far. They were true to size and comfy from the first wear. I find that there's less pressure on my knees using this shoe for my Zumba classes, although I'm sure it would work well for a variety of other fitness classes as well. It's very lightweight. I am not sure how much shock absorption these include, so if you're doing a class with a lot of jumping you may need to go with a regular cross-trainer. Overall, though, am super-satisfied with this purchase.

Bought these for my daughter for color guard. She marches and dances in them and they are comfortable and supportive.
