Rated 3 out of 5 by Joseph Decent but no cushioning Quality construction. Bought as a work but as I do a lot of walking. Had to buy gel insoles as the included footbed provided zero cushioning or comfort. Sizing was correct. October 1, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Marcus Like the Shoe I have had four of five of these and, basically, like them as a general all-around walking, hiking shoe with the benefit of being waterproof. The negatives are that they run a little tight, so get another 1/2 size larger and go for the EEE width. In addition, the shoe laces always come untied. I had to replace with a different brand. Rated 5 out of 5 by Colleen Survived the John Muir Trail! I love this boot! I am female, and bought this style to give myself more toe room. I was planning to hike the John Muir Trail, and tried several boot options from REI. I found them all to be hideously uncomfortable, and ended up wearing my Hi-Tecs for the entire, 200+ miles of the JMT. They were comfortable, stayed dry during rain and water crossings, and I never got a single blister. August 11, 2015
