M asked: I have a wide foot and I'm wondering if these shoes run narrow? Do they have any give at all to them so I can use a shoe stretcher?

  • Frances: "Sorry to be so long answering this question. I believe this shoe would be comfortable for the customer. I have a wide foot and even a bunion on one foot, but these shoes are very easy to wear and comfortable for me. They are padded inside, soft to the touch and do have some give though mine have not stretched unduly. I wear them when I expect to be on my feet for fairly long periods. They support my foot very well and I'm very happy with them. Good luck to the questioner."
  • Renet: "They do stretch out as the leather becomes softened. I wouldn't stretch them due to the stitching on the vamp or toe part."
  • Jayne: "The shoes run large and wide, at least for my feet. I usually wear a 6 1/2, but tried the 6 in the store and they were great. A bit snug across the toes at first, but they loosened right up. They are extremely comfortable without looking like dowdy octogenarian " sensible" shoes."
  • Myra: "I love this shoe.......it does give some......."
  • Carla: "I normally wear a size 8M, but I think in this style I could wear a 71/2M. These shoes do not run narrow and I think they do have some give to them."
  • Margaret: "They are pretty much true to size. Will give some after wearing for a while"
  • Nancy: "They are true to size I have a plain 6 1/2 med they are leather"
  • Emilia: "Shoe is true to size. There is some flex to allow for Stretching..however order wide width if you normally Wear that ..great shoe."
  • Ann: "These shoes run very NARROW - I have an average width foot and I had to return them. I tried to wear them in the house a few times and they were painful. The brown ones come in wide, however (my red ones did not). I tried on a brown wide today and it was too wide for my average foot, so may work out for you. They are really cute! I was sad to return them!"
  • Leora: "My feet are flat with no arches. I like the style of the shoe but because of my flat feet the shoe gaps by the arches. There are no support for that area,"
  • carol: "Dear MA: I wear an 8 medium and bought that size but within wearing them for a few days, they have quickly stretched 1/2 to 1 size larger and slipping out of back. I usually buy closed shoes larger for inserts but if you don't do this I would definitely size down. When you walk, the arches billow out so they definitely have some give in the width but not as much in the upper area but are very soft and probably would definitely stretch. Since I have not worn more than a week, I am concerned that if I do put a full insert the top area may be pressing down as I have a higher in-step and larger toe but I shall see as I am experimenting. If you do buy, wear first before stretching. I love the styling and ease of slipping them on and use them first thing in the morning for slippers, running to the mailbox, with jeans, dinners, quick shopping but I would consider something better with arch support for long walks. Good luck and hope this helps!"
  • Cheri: "They do run narrow in the toe/bunion area. I think you would need a shoe stretcher."
  • Nancy: "Yes. I also have a wide foot. They are snug at first but the leather gives with wear and they become very comfortable. I actually now have them in two colors. "
  • Carol: "Yes they are loose"
  • Carol: "Yes they are loose"
  • Gemma: "no they are not narrow and you may not need a shoe stretcher"
  • Lori: "Hi M, I bought the tan wide and the navy regular. They do have give so you can use a shoe stretcher. I love mine, so comfortable enjoy them if you decide to buy them!"
  • Linda: "I bought in sz 8 1/2 wide and they are very comfortable needing no break in time, they are leather so they will stretch and breath on your feet . they have a nice wide toe box at least for me ..great price give them a try ..!"
  • Janice: "They run about 1/2 size large (both daughters and I have them and this was true for all of us). We don't have wide feet but they will stretch. I used a shoe stretcher when they felt a little snug on my bigger foot and that was all it took. I don't think they run narrow at all and if your foot isn't super wide, they should stretch to fit."
  • maura: "The leather is very soft and conforms to your foot after only a few wearings, so I think it would stretch a bit too. I purchased a wide width and the shoes feel very roomy compared to other wides I've purchased."
  • Rae Jean: "I would say they do not run narrow. I have a wide foot so I ordered 9 wide. The fit was very loose. I returned them."
  • Cynthia: "I got this shoe in a wide width and I was pleasantly surprised that the fit was great. It gives a little so I had no trouble with them. I did not use a shoe stretcher."
  • Joann: "The stitching on the top of the shoe loosen up after a couple of wears (not a good look) but Naturalizer has the same shoe with better stitching and leather and is about the same price and come in wide/med/narrow"

rosalie asked: i usually wear a 6and a half shoe, should I downsize to a 6 since it all leather? Will they stretch ?

  • Michelle G: "I got a 6 1/2 and that is my regular shoe size and it fit perfect."
  • Maria A: "Yes they do stretch a little but since I have a little wide feet it hasn't been a problem but if you have narrow feet probably you should go down"
  • Kathy: "I usually wear a 6.5 also. I saw the shoe in a store and tried it on. It was too loose. The size 6 fits well. The stitching at the top of the top is a little tight but I've only worn them once...and that was without socks. I feel sure that a little wear will fix that."
  • Sonya: "Stick with your regular size, it doesn't have that much stretch."
