This boot was exactly what I had hoped. The color and material was exactly as the picture portrayed. I was happily surprised that the sole of the shoe had a slip resistant finish, which was not apparent by the picture so it was a great surprise. The boot did feel a bit big, but it was only because my foot is between a 5 1/2 and 6, so sometimes I get lucky with a perfect fit and other times shoes are a bit big as this one was. Over all I was happy with my purchase.

I first bought these boots in the size that I normally wear, but they were too big. There also seemed to be a defect/extra material on the inside of the sole that was uncomfortable, even if they had fit. (I've had the defect problem with Famous Footwear before.) I did exchange them and the 2nd pair fit and there were not defects but they are just plain to me, especially through the toe of the boot, the only part that is seen if you wear them with bootcut jeans. Personally, I think they look better in the picture, but they are ok, I did keep them.
