laura asked: 12 m is that ok for a 4 yr old? hes normal height and weight for his age. n wears 11 in shoes

  • Danielle: "I myself think so. They are true to size."
  • Kendra: "Yes my son wears a size ten so I bought him an eleven they fit nicely with extra room for the double socks they'll need this winter"
  • Camila: "No...buy a 13 or 1. My sons feet size is 11 also and I bought a 13 because I read these boots run small and I wanted them to last the whole year. The 13 was only about a half inch bigger if I pushed his feet all the way to the front of the shoes. I should have gotten a size 1. As crazy as it may seem buying 3 sizes bigger, it will be the right size. These boots run about 2 sizes small, look small and is extremely light. "
  • Barbara: "12 sounds fine if he is an 11 in shoes. I always buy boots bigger ...if there too big just wear extra socks and then you can use them next year too!!"
  • Janie: "I found them to be true to size. My son was 4 last year and he had a 13 but big feet... This year we ordered him a 1 in the same boot, different color. Not knowing your son I would say to go with the 12 so he can wear a thicker sock as well."
  • Rockie: "That's what I ordered for my little boy, was just a size up. But to be honest we haven't tried them on since we're saving them for Christmas."
  • Heather: "My son wear size 4 sneakers and I ordered size 5 boots. Just couple inches big. "
  • Marionna: "Yes I bought the red ones for my son he was 4."
  • Kuljinder: "I think these shoes good for kids who are not over active. But it's very good looking shoes for boys I loved it that is why I bought it. I feel that this one is very comfy in, more than one inch snow."
  • JILL: "I went one size up on my guys and they fit them with room for socks. Hopefully they last the season. Two sizes up would have just been too big."
  • Brittany (staff): "Hello Laura, Here is a link a printable kids sizing chart that would help you find the correct size. http://www.famousfootwear.com/App_Themes/Default/images/2009/fit_assistant/childrens_brannock.pdf Thanks, FamousFootwear.com"

Frederikke asked: The 2m is that for kids at the age of 7 or for toddlers?

  • Andrea: "Yes "
  • Debby: "Yes, the older one.. My grandson was age 9, it was too small, we took it back. But these are vey popular with the kids."
  • Cindi: "I ordered it for my (big) 5 year old...so they're for boys, not toddlers."
  • Jean: "You need to be careful with the size...it's confusing...I called customer service to verify sizes needed (too many toddlers delivered when I expected youth. The boots are waterproof and keep feet warm but are bulky which makes walking a bit difficult. If your child walks a lot in deep snow he may not like them. I hope this helps"
  • Danielle: "7 year old, I ordered the 1 M for my 6 year old! "
  • Sandra: "I bought them for my 6 year old to wear this coming winter. So 2M would be for a 1st or 2nd grader."
  • Linda: "We purchased for 7 year old grandson, and they fit him fine. Hope this helps. "

Danielle asked: I live in Alaska, I was wondering if these boots would keep my sons feet warm in the cold weather that we have. What is the coldest temp. these boots can handle? Thank you.

  • Kuljinder: "This one is good! If you still feel its not enough, you can buy extra shoes warmer for boots."
  • Barbara: "My boys love these boots. Our temps usually don't go below 20 Degrees F. The kids never complained about their feet being cold. They also love them for rain boots."
  • Andrea: "I live in Aspen, Colorado and these boots were great for our snowy winters. Along with a good pair of wool socks, these boots will keep your feet warm and dry. "
  • Reyna: "We bought these boots for my son & had to return them, the sizes ran really small. We ended up buying a pair of Columbia boots from FFW that were great! They look cool! "
  • Betty: "Sorry we haven't used then yet. "
  • Amy: "These boots are thick and my son loved them so much he wore them everyday even if it wasn't Alaska cold out. Even if he splashed in puddles his socks stayed dry inside them."
  • Deb: "Not really, more for looks!"
