I haven't done a lot of walking in them but not being wood they feel better on the feet and make a lot less noise than the originals. I just wish my legs looked as good as when I wore them 25+ years ago.

This version of sandal strongly resembles old "original" wooden one but is much quieter. A little haphazard with craftsmanship on positioning screws into sides of shoe, but seems to hold okay if not totally aesthetically appealing. Shoes arrived promptly and they fit. I have worn 11's before but am an actual size 12 so no extra length here but that's fine. Will see how these do and possibly order again in another color.

I bought these for my mom who loved the ones she had in the 70's. She thinks these are even more comfortable. She normally wears an 8 1/2 in shoes but an 8 in sandals. Ordered and 8; fit great.
It was a successful gift this year.
Mom is an active 74 year old.

Softer, quieter sandal than wooden version. Still great support but miss the "toe grab" front arch. Would purchase again.
