Liked the shoes so much I ordered a second pair -- one for work and one for play

Bought these for some light hiking in wet weather. Comfy and no problems so far on damp ground. Haven't tested them during rain yet, but i'm happy with the buy.

Good for 1000+ miles
I just bought my second pair of Teva Verdon hiking shoes at Famous Footwear. I use them exclusively for hiking Colorado's Front Range trails.
My last pair -- purchased 27 months ago -- was good for 1558 miles of dirt trail hiking (I keep good records). The soles were getting a bit slick in places, some of the stitching on the toe boxes was starting to pull out, and the shoe liners back by the heel were wearing through, but what do you expect from 1500+ miles of rigorous hiking?
One observation is that I have to buy the Teva Verdon shoes one size larger than my normal size but at +1 they are super comfortable; although I have used arch supports in other hiking shoes, I do not with the Verdon shoes.
Another plus is that my cost in February 2013 was exactly the same as the cost in November 2010. Thanks, Famous Footwear!
Oh, by the way: I have another pair of Verdon shoes that I purchased in 2010 that are my "go to town" shoes; I never hike in them. They look and feel absolutely like new.
Kudos to Teva and Famous Footwear.
