Yadira asked: are they waterproof?

  • BORIS: "They are comfortable to walk. My wife didn't wear them in deep puddles, but for the wet and slushy snow they are good."
  • Lisa: "Just the bottom part of the boot, but you can spray waterproofing on the suede part......it may darken the color a little though."
  • Lori: "Yes so far I havn't noticed my feet wet at all very satisfied with these boots"
  • Melissa: "Yes, they are waterproof."

Janice asked: I have plantar fasciitis and heel spurs. Is this boot comfortable or will my feet start to ache due to rigid arch or hard insole?

  • JoAnn: "I wish I could answer, but I really don't know. They were very nice boots but ran a little big on me-- I am between sizes-- and I also decided to get something a little dressier. When I tried them on, they were comfortable."
  • Carol Ann: "The insole and complete interior of boot is lined just as you see the lining in the photo at the top of the boot. There is not much of an arch support, and i have a very low or non existent arch. It is very comfortable, I wore it for over two hours and shoveled snow, and never even had a thought of discomfort...very comfortable for all day wear."
  • Lisa: "I did not keep the boot I had to return them. After trying them on (even before trying them on) I could feel that they were too heavy for me. I like a lighter weight (but warm) boot."
  • Jessica: "My daughter says they are comfortable and don't have a rigid arch or hard insole. She has fairly flat feet, and the arch doesn't bug her..."
  • Donna: "My college daughter selected these for her mountain town winter. While home and with 8 inches of snow she wore them all day long through the mall and on visiting a friend. Not sure of your condition but she was surprised how comfortable they were. I would mention there are so many inserts for under $10.00 at Walmart that could cushion more if needed."
  • clara: "I have worked 12 hour shifts in these..my feet are tired at the end of the shift, but not ant worse than when i wear my other western boots"
  • Carrie A: "These boots run slightly large, I really don't think they have a lot of support and are not very warm. They are waterproof though. I'm not sure that I would purchace them again. Maybe a good shoe insert would help with plantar fasciitis "
  • Dianne: "Hi, Janice-I have been happy with these boots. I just put them on to see about your question, and I would say no, but I don't have those problems. I have fairly high arches, and I could use a little more arch support so I doubt that would be an issue for you. The insole is not soft, but I wouldn't call it rigid either, it has some give. I will also say that I got these in a 9, and more often wear a 9 1/2 so if you bought your normal size you'd probably have room for a little extra cushion if needed. I wore them a few weeks ago on a 2 mile walk, and the only problem I had was a little rubbing on the back of one heel, so if I'm going to walk in them again I'll wear thicker socks, but they are warm and water proof."
  • Jacqueline: "I have some foot problems as well, my arch hurts if I don't have enough support. I have worn these all day to work and have had no problems. I do not have heel issues, though so I can't be sure about that."
  • Sheila: "I have Raynaud's and this is the only boot I have ever found that will be soft, comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and still keep my feet warm and totally dry. I love these boots and would recommend them to anyone although I'm not the one to guarantee any boot against heel spurs."
  • W: "This boots are a dream! they not hard this have fleece lining to the toe of the boot. You don't have to wear socks unless you want to. very, very comfortable. In fact today i forgot my shoes and had to wear them all day. my feet were a little warm but comfortable. i would recommend these boots to everyone.."
  • Laurie: "I think they seem very comfortable :)"
  • Janelle: "I have really flat feet, which isn't as terrible as what you deal with I'm sure, but these boots are VERY comfortable. Probably the most comfortable snow boots I've ever worn."
  • jo anne: "Janice, I can't really answer that question. I also have plantar fascitis and heel spurs but I did not even get a chance to wear these boots other then trying them on. I found them to be hard to lace up...the lace kept slipping. I will say they were exceptionally warm and comfortable but a little to manly for me. Hope this helps."
  • Crystal: "I think these boots are very comfortable. I have knee problems, so good support and cushioning are important to me. I recently did a good deal of walking in this pair of boots and have no complaints. You may still want to add a heel cup insert for the extra cushioning. I think Lugz does a really good job making a comfortable boot that does not torture the foot, but ultimately, they are still boots when you get right down to it."

Patty asked: If your shoe size is 9.5 would you recommend a 9 or 10 in these boots?

  • Sonja: "9 1/2"
  • Carol Ann: "I actually ordered mine in a 9.5, and they fit perfectly."
  • Janelle: "10"
  • Joyce: "I usually wear a size 81/2 and that is the size I ordered...they fit fine. Pretty much true to size."
  • clara: "I would get the 10 the boots are pottery true to size but if they are a little big you have room_for heavy socks they are wonderful boots .I love mine "
  • Crystal: "I found the sizing to be accurate, if your size isn't available, I'd suggest getting the half size bigger."
  • Julie: "My shoes size us 9 and I bought a 9.5. That way if I wore thick socks the boots would still have room. I love these. They are light and warm."
  • Darlene: "I am normally a size 9 and that is what I ordered and they are very comfortable."
  • THYLEDUS: "Hi, I would definitely suggest a 10 because they seem to fit-to-size. I wear a 10 & I got a 10. With regular socks they fit perfectly. Hope this helps. "
  • Charline: "I would recommend a size 10."
  • Charline: "I would recommend a size 10."
  • Lori: "I wear a 9.5 and I ordered a 10 and that is perfect."
  • Dorothy: "I would recommend a 10."

Amy asked: What is the temperature rating on these? I would like something rated for at least -15 F or lower. Thank you. :)

  • teresa: "not that low….these are more moderate temp boots but really cute and functional"
  • Jacqueline: "I don't know an actual temperature rating. I have worn them in the snow in probably 25 degrees and my feet were warm but I don't live where it gets -15 F."
  • Maria: "I bought these boots Dec. 2011. I live in Maine, if weather gets to -15 I don't go out. LOL But they are warm and I love the look."

Amy asked: Are these boots very heavy? I don't want to carry extra weight on my feet when walking thru the snow.

  • Deanna: "These boots are not heavy, however of course they are not tennis shoes but not as heavy as a work boot.. They will keep your feet warm!! They are really nice boots. Hope this helps!"
  • Patricia: "no not at all. in fact, they are pretty light for boots. and very comfortable!"
  • Laurie: "No, they are pretty light :)"
  • Lynn: "I bought these for my 17daughter year old daughter and she absolutely loves them. Not heavy at all and so comfortable! They are her favorites!!!"
  • clara: "no these boots are not heavy they are about the same as my tennis shoes we have just hada snowstorm wore them to work had forgotten myshoes had to wear them for a twelve hourshift they were fine .theywere as comfortable as my shoes and my feet weren't to hot .my my feet have been warm and dry in these boots"
  • kim: "ABSOLUTLEY NOT, THESE BOOTS ARE THE BEST AND MOST LIGHT WEIGHT I HAVE EVER OWNED. I HAVE HUSKEY DOGS AND LIVE IN UPSTSATE NY SO IM OUT ALOT. SOMETIMES AFTER GETTING TO WORK I FORGET I EVEN HAVE THEM ON. LOVE LOVE THESE BOOTS,I THINK YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY IF YOU DECIDE TO BUY A PAIR."
  • Dina: "I bought these for my daughter who just started college in Nebraska. They have kept her feet warm, dry and comfortable through the recent snow storms. I can't tell you how much they weigh but I've heard no complaints about them being too heavy in the snow."
  • Robert: "I don't think that they're very heavy. In fact, they are lighter than most other winter boots that I've owned."
  • Sandy: "These boots are actually light and comfy. I didn't feel weighed down wearing them like I have others I've worn in the snow. I think you'll be happy with them!"

Margaret asked: Are these boots true to size? Some boots that are fur-lined throughout the entire boot, can be somewhat tight fitting. Or, maybe these boots are not fur-lined throughout? Please help!

  • kim: "YES I AGREE WITH JANELLE AND TAYLOR THESE BOOTS ARE TRUE TO SIZE AND ARE JUST AWESOME! I WILL BUY ANOTHER PAIR."
  • Donna: "I bought them for my daughter and she wears an 8 1/2. She says they fit great. I wear a size 9 and tried them on and they felt a little tight. I would say you would want to order a half size bigger."
  • Joyce: "These boots are pretty much true to size. If you wear heavier socks, you may want to go up half a size."
  • Judith: "These boots fit me just fine and I ordered the size I normally wear. They are fully lined too. Nice boots in my honest opinion."
  • Traci: "I love these boots!! Super comfortable and warm. The boot is not fur-lined throughout with the same thickness as covers the top portion. I ordered my regular size and they fit perfectly even with a heavier sock."
  • Maria: "I'm a 7 but bought a 7 1/2 to account for thicker socks. I probably could have gone with a 7, they run a touch big. They are fully lined in faux fur, but not tight because of it. "
  • Darlene: "I usually wear a size 9 and when I tried them on they feel real comfortable to me. I think they are true to size."
  • Lori: "Yes I usually wear a 9.5 tennis shoe sometimes a 10 depends on the style and I ordered a 10 and it fits perfect."
  • Tammy: "I found these boots true to size. The entire boot is lined. I have been very pleased with the boot."
  • Janelle: "They are true to size, (at least as far as my feet are concerned!) and they are lined throughout. I LOVE these boots. I wear them all the time, I wore them on a first date a month ago and I'm wearing them today as we get pounded with snow and I'm in the office wearing a dress and my cozy, warm, fur-lined boots. They are wonderful!!!"
  • Rhonda: "These boots seem to run true to size and are very comfortable to wear. I have received several compliments on how cute they are too!"
  • Taylor: "I bought them in a size 6 and they fit great. They are fur lined all the way through but because of the shoe laces you can adjust how tight you want them to be. Great shoe, keeps your feet warm and has a good grip for the snow and slippery weather!"

tricia asked: How tall are they? I can't seem to find an answer on the web site and it is not uncommon for me to get 8-12 inches of snow when it snows.

  • Laurie: "Middle of shin"
  • Elizabeth: "I'm not sure if my message went through or not because my computer crashed after I clicked submit. The boots are a full twelve inches with the flaps up and nine inches with the flaps down, but the tongue in front is shorter than that so if you need to break snow, as I do, you can get snow in your boots. Aside from that I am quite happy with these boots, as they are much warmer than my last ones."
  • Elizabeth: "With the flaps down the boot is nine inches tall. With flaps turned up it's a full twelve inches, but the tongue in front is much shorter so I do still get snow in the boots when I'm romping through deep snow."
  • Sandy: "Boots are 11 inches from the bottom of the heel to the top of boot without the cuff rolled down."
  • Sahily: "I'm in Chicago and these boots are awesome for the snow we get, and are super warm To answer you question they are 10 1/2" tall when not folded down which is how I wear them. thwn folded 8 1/2" tall. hope that helps!"
  • Kimberly: "They are fairly high, about mid calf. Absolutely love them, very warm and comfortable. More appropriate for high snow areas."
  • Jacqueline: "They are between 11 1/4 and 11 1/2 inches from bottom of heel to the top - not folded down, of course."
  • Beverly: "with the top folded down as shown in the picture, they are approx 9.5 inches from bottom of heel to top. With top up they are approx 11.25 inches. They've worked good for me in deep snow."
  • clara: "wth the collar up they go to just below my knee .you can lace them up all thei measured the boots.they are 11.5 inches tall. to the top of the boot it is 9 inches tothtop of the tongue so if you turn the collar down ypou have nine inches..these boots are warm and comfortable .i love these boots"
  • Patricia: "They are plenty tall for that amount of snow....they reach to right below my knee....I am 5 "3'"
